Description Gwenaël Q. 2024-05-04 14:30:48 UTC
Description:
After deleting data with Data Entry Form, Ctl+Z is ineffective

Undo should always work. If not then data loss is possible and the software is not reliable --> Bug Severity : HIGHT

Steps to Reproduce:
- Open Calc
- add 2 or 3 rows of data within 2 or 3 columns
- select one cell of data
- Data > form
- In the Data form, select a record then hit Delete
- Hit Close
- Ctrl+Z

Actual Results:
Nothing, deleted record data is not back

Expected Results:
Ctl+Z (= Undo) should allow deleted data to be undeleted
Undo should always work. If not then data loss is possible and the software is not reliable --> Bug Severity : HIGHT

Reproducible: Always

May I suggest to raise the Importance/Severity to, at least, major ?

A bug leading to **irreversible user data loss** cannot be considered as having a normal importance. Doing so would mean that reliability is not major concern for the LibreOffice project and would affect the -still fragile- trust placed in the project by the general public. This would also affect those like me that struggle for promoting open-source projects and keep stumbling on bugs that may discredit the project.

Thanks for listening
